Chocolate and Ginger Smoothie

I’m not going to lie…many times I wake up and want a big slice of chocolate cake for breakfast. However, I know I have my limits and need to make better choices more often than not. So, I have here a fabulous substitute for that chocolate cake with about half the calories. There are several ingredients I always have on hand: frozen bananas, fresh ginger, ground flax seeds/chia seeds and of course CHOCOLATE! These are great staples to keep in the kitchen.

Ingredients, 1 Serving

  • 10oz water

  • 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder (I like Isagenix Isalean)

  • 1/2 frozen banana

  • 1-2 ice cubes

  • 1 small chunk of fresh ginger

  • 1 tbsp of ground flax/chia seeds

Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top for an extra treat!
